ITALIAN BOXES

Our recipes come from a very long tradition of two families, my mother's and father's.

In these pictures are my maternal  (top left) and my paternal (top right) grandmothers with two of the most influential Italian recipes books.

​

The first is the Regional Recipes  which is considered a must in a cooking household. In fact, it contains a lot of recipes divided by region.  Each region in Italy has its own specific harvested foods and the book has wonderful recipes using the foods grown in that area. 

 

The other is the Bible of Italian Food and its treated like an actual bible. 

​

All of my recipes have roots in one of this two books.  I modified them slightly to cater to the ever changing American pallate.
